A Perfect Measure sample bottle of a youthful heavily peated Port Charlotte, distilled at Bruichladdich distillery from Scottish barley and matured in first-fill ex-American whisky casks and second-fill French wine casks before a final year of marrying in French oak. It's all about the influence of the wood, and the casks have added sweet citrus and dark chocolate notes to the rich and peaty spirit.

I'm not normally a wine finish drinker but I was curious about how the smokeyness would entwine with the red wine flavour. Took me a few drams to get used to but it's fantastic. The red wine really hits in the finish. I'll be getting another bottle before it's discontinued.
