Product Description
This is one of Italy’s iconic wineries with 75 hectares of vines in the heart of Chianti Classic. La Casuccia is a combination of certain parcels of the vineyards that is 12.5 hectares, some that was planted in 1978 and that were identified as having superior terroir. It is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot that is only produced in the best vintages and in limited quantities. 2015 was a very balanced vintage which gave a lovely perfumed wine, offering notes of tobacco and leather with dark hedgerow fruits. The tannins are delicate and ripe making this a wine that can be drunk now or aged.
