Product Description
A superb bottling of a vibrant, lightly peated single malt from White Peak Distillery, matured exclusively in premium ex-bourbon barrels from Heaven Hill distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. As these are a relatively ‘inactive’ cask type, this allows for the whisky’s spirit character to take centre stage.
This is the second release in the Wire Works Provenance Core Range which has a deep connection to Derbyshire’s industrial heritage and innovation, giving this Wire Works whisky a strong sense of identity. Every step of the life-cycle – mashing, fermentation, distillation, maturation – happens onsite at the distillery for unmatched traceability and integrity.
A flavour-first whisky that stands proudly on its own merits, it’s a beautiful example of craftsmanship over spectacle. You can expect notes of vanilla cheesecake, white chocolate, lemon curd, candied ginger, peaches and a long creamy finish.

Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Billy Abbott, The Whisky Exchange
Nose
Caramel and walnut brittle, with roasted almonds, cocoa nibs and wisps of peat and coal smokes. Fresh coconut and vanilla fudge notes develop, balanced by singed grass and char.
Palate
Richly textured and rounded in character, with initial creamy fudge poised against soft smoke, apple sauce and black pepper spice. More orchard fruit builds, along with pineapple (both sweet and ripe, and slightly sour) and hints of gummi bear. Well-balanced char notes hide at the back.
Finish
Gummi bears and apple sweets linger, joined by polished oak and creamy coffee.
