The Cognac inside this filigreed bottle was aged in Limousin oak barrels, resulting in notes of brioche, candied oranges, gorse flowers, and hints of dark cherry and leather. Inspired by the major art movements that shaped our world, L’Epoque Baroque XO launched in 2024 and is made from Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie.

    What a magnificent treat this cognac is. So mellow, sweet, deep and certainly boasts in aroma and taste every bit of the 50 years it has spent maturing. It has a deep mahogany amber, with glowing copper highlights. In its aroma it is luxurious with baked brioche, warm buttered toast, and candied orange zest, layered with hints of red berry compote, peach, and delicate floral notes—accented by fine sandalwood and white nutmeg. In taste I found it rich and textured, the Baroque XO reveals a balance of stone fruits (peach, pear), exotic fruits, and spice—pepper, soft nutmeg—with underlying tones of dark cherry, leather, and elegant minerality.Its finish is onng and resonant, echoing dried fruits, exotic fruits and a gentle spice that lingers with finesse. Really enjoyable.
