I get quite a bit of banana. Also caramel is a nice note on the finish. A lovely whisky for the price.
It has almost no other taste than alchohol. No oak, almost no sweetnes. A faint hint of smoke. No nose and no aftertaste. For a 12 year old spirit this is really bad.
This is just delightful. A gorgeous nose, one of the best I've come across - sherry & dried fruit. The body is rich, lovely viscosity, and more of the sherry, fruit and - to my buds - a bit of coconut. The finish is warming, slightly spice (from the oak, nothing too prominent) and a touch of caramel. No alcohol notes whatsoever, despite being 43%. I went through this one in a hurry.
Simply Amazing!
A bit disappointing, this one! Not nearly as full-flavoured as 15 and older, though same colour as 18, which is odd. Just lacking that usual toasty bite of a Glenfarclas which I love!!! Hopefully will improve as bottle progresses. Good value overall though!
