Dewar's 12 year old blend, called 'Double Aged' due to the 6 months of marrying in oak casks that the whisky does after initial maturation and blending. Dewar's is one of the world's most awarded whiskies, recently winning the Monde Grand Gold across their range.

Surprised at the glowing reviews here. I thought it was distinctly average and definitely overpriced. In my personal opinion, you''d be better off getting a sub-£20 standard blend - any one.
love the 12 yr old oak cast dewars..almost as good as a lot of single malts...
Very nice light blend. I get a sweet finish with no peat. I have the 12 year old blend as pictured above called the "The Ancestor". The "Doubled Age" 12 year old mentioned has a dark blue label so I''m not sure if they are the same.
As someone who normally prefers single malts, this is one of the best blended whiskys around. It is a massive step up from Dewar's White Label and on a par with Ballantine's 17 year old. I am surprised that this is not widely available in shops in the UK, it certainly should be!
I think this great quality blend is really overlooked. It's smooth, rounded and complex, a class act. Worth trying if you find it on offer, otherwise you are spoilt for choice with entry level single malts in this price range.
Fantastic, gives u a nice warm glow
Tried it when in the Savoy and was very impressed with a smooth flavour with out being tastless. I would describe it as liquid silk good for both begginer and veteran
