Let me start with an introduction. After I got sick of drinking the cheap whiskies you can get in pubs in Bohemia, and after snubbing the idea of sampling the more expensive ones, as a 0,04 l portion can cost the equivalent of 6 to 10 beers, or a tenth to a fifth of the price of the Dalmore 15YO without the glasses, I decided it was time to buy a bottle of something I hadn't yet tasted. So my first was the Chivas Regal 12YO Blended. I liked it, but I wanted to taste a good single malt, so next I bought the Glenfiddich 12YO. It was good, but too creamy and not fruity and spicy enough for me. I would say it didn't have a "dark enough taste", based on my mental taste-color association. Now about this whisky. It's magnificent. I loved it from the first sip. It has everything the ones I tasted previously lacked. It's smooth, yet rich, it has fruit and spice notes, but is not overly sweet. This is in my mind how a good single malt should taste. When I tried it on ice, with one cube in a roughly 0,04 l portion, after waiting for it to melt almost completely, I discovered the finish was a little more pronounced compared to the palate and there was more of a trace of honey. Having a glass of this dram in the evening became one of the highlights of my work days. I can only recommend this delicious whisky to just about anyone. And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who likes it so much. 33 reviews and every one with 5 stars, that's a small miracle. I'll definitely try more from Dalmore.
Lovely and smooth. Really enjoyable for both beginner and experienced whisky lover. I enjoyed it very much and will definitely replenish this one once I take the last glass or of it.
Bought for my husband birthday and he loves it.
Superb product and service. The Dalmore 15 is a splendidly smooth drink, in a different ballpark to the Glenfiddich 12 which I am more used too. The branded tumblers make this a perfect gift or drinking set for anyone with a penchant for whisky. Delivery was quick and service was excellent. Would highly recommended this product, as well as recommending 'The Whisky Exchange' as an excellent vendor.
The Dalmore was a gift for someone and they're very impressed with it. A great Whiskey. So are we impressed, with the product, packaging and entire service. We would highly recommend using The Whiskey Exchange. Absolute quality all round.
