The Balblair Collection
The new range of single malts from Balblair is inspired by Clach Biorach – an ancient Pictish standing stone, sat silently for centuries in the fields beside the distillery. With an enduring character and bold flavours, these whiskies embody the spirit of the mysterious, legendary Picts.

About
Balblair
Balblair
Founded by John Ross in 1790, on the shores of the Dornoch Firth, Balblair Distillery is steeped in Pictish history. Within sight of the distillery is Clach Biorach, a great stone monument erected by the Picts and imbued with their magic, myths and legends. Pictish symbols and ancient legends have inspired Balblair for more than 200 years. The present distillery buildings were built in the 1890s by Alexander Cowan and, apart from a brief closure from 1911 to 1948-49, it has been distilling Highland single malt ever since.
This new range is the biggest shake up to Balblair since the distiller introduced vintage releases in 2007. It’s the beginning of a new era at Balblair, and we look forward to seeing how the new range develops over time.
