Darroze Les Grands Assemblages 20 Year Old Armagnac Reviews
Tasting Notes by Billy A
Nose: Elegant, with dried papaya sweetness, fruity toffee, wax polish, freshly cut leather, marzipan hints and blanched almonds.
Palate: Big and fruity to start – sweet apples, both stewed and freshly sliced, sultanas and raisin. Gentle spice sits behind that, with floral hints, wax polish and some dark chocolate.
Finish: Lots of dry spices – ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, mace – almost garam-masala-like. Fruitiness appears and lingers.

I have an earlier bottling of 20 year old Armagnac from Darroze and I have been cherishing my remaining bottle. If you appreciate the flavours and complexity of a good single malt, you will appreciate the flavours and complexity of this "single" Armagnac. I am very happy to find it again available.
Eccellente, of course!
Delicious! As someone who generally prefers the smoother taste of cognacs, I tried the Darroze on spec. It is one of the smoothest armagnacs that I have ever tasted at what is a relatively reasonable price.
