Nose: Very musty, dank cellar, very wet and muddy rocks, some algae notes, some fresh white fruit like yellow kiwi, dust, somewhat perfume-like floral notes. Sap, the inside of a cooked broccoli stalk, some malt. Taste: Saccharine sugar and some herbal notes of burnt toast and ethanol, then suddenly in my nose I get this really off note that is overwhelming - stinky, cheesy feet, then rancid sweaty gym bag, then sweaty cheesy socks, rank. Gosh, what took over is rank! Finish: The finish lingers in the nose of sweaty, cheesy, stinky gym bag and gym socks. It overwhelms completely. On the palate you get some lingering indistinct sweetness and menthol. Impressions: This is bizarre. There is a totally opposing experience happening between the nose and palate during the taste and finish. The palate experiences mild sweetness and some herbal notes, but the nose throughout the taste and finish experiences something so cheesy, rancid, and sweaty it overwhelms. It's as if you drank a very light Speysider inside a locker room that had dirty gym bags and socks left out for months and hadn't been cleaned. This is the most vile scotch I have ever had but maybe people who like stinky cheese would really enjoy this.
Smooth, pepper,orange. I like it!
Taken with a little water, very smooth with creamy vanilla finish. A very nice after dinner dram.
