A sweet and gently peaty dram from this long-running Islay distillery, Bw3 is, as the name suggests, the third entry from the distillery in the Elements of Islay range. This was awarded 90.5pts in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2015.

Tasting Notes

    Nose: Fragrant wood smoke with a peaty tang, floral hints and meadow grass. Butter and milk chocolate buttons.

    Palate: Coal dust and wood ash, with a lemony tang and soft sweetness.

    Finish: Floral touches with lingering wood smoke.

    A big surprise, fresh & springy, positively young refreshing but with some character. A very pleasant Whisky for casual and comfort drinking.
