Customer Rating
The 2001 vintage is a 2012 addition to the The Glenrothes range. The brand is owned by historic wine & spirit merchants Berry Brothers & Rudd and releases its whiskies by vintage rather than by age, in keeping with the owner's wine-related history.

At first I wasn't very impressed by this whisky. But I have learned to not to judge the whisky so quickly. This whisky opens up considerably after opening the bottle. Sweet, vanilla-citrus, spicy and red berries. A very balanced whisky actually. Not that complex, but very drinkable and a bit different speysider. On the other hand, this whisky is so underpowered, it should be at least 46-48 % vol. If Glenrothes decides to make a Cask Strength version, I will buy.
