Hellyers Road's flagship expression is produced from Tasmanian-grown malted barley, rainwater blown in by the 'Roaring Forties' winds and yeast. This is matured in American white oak barrels for 10 years and is bottled with its natural colour.

Producer's Note
The nose shows fresh fruit on cereal, a touch of vanilla, coconut oil with a hint of spice evident in the background. The warming palate is almost creamy in texture, and delivers the generous malty flavours promised by the nose in a most distinguished fashion. Our original is destined to become a benchmark Australian single malt.

What a surprise a new world malt with character. This climbed quite quickly into the upper end of my favourite malts list. It has a hint of sweetness with a longish finish quite oakey but never nasty a very agreeable drink but not cheap even bought in Tasmania
The most disappointing whisky I've ever had. Sharply acidic with no redeeming features. Tastes and feels like bad vinegar. Sorry guys, wanted to love it being Australian but I just can't.
as a Aussie I try not to be to biased on our whisky's we are producing some of them are world class which some of the better ones are hard to find outside Australia. Hellyer's road is not one of the better ones well not this version anyhow. this 10 year old is probably still to young it dosen't really have a strong flavor to it and it dosen't really have anything memorable on the finish. the 12 year old may be better but I have not tasted it yet. better Australian whisky's to go far if you can find them in London is Lark,Staward and Sullivan's Cove
