Tasting Notes by Stuart P
Nose: Big-hearted, heady aromas of spiced oranges, cardamom, clove and nutmeg. Rich and dense, too, with Maya Gold chocolate and sticky toffee pudding, with some welcome freshness in the form of apple peel and citrus.
Palate: More savoury and spicy on the palate, with cracked black pepper and toast, but this is still a robust, full-bodied dram, with big notes of orange, chocolate pudding and Christmas spices.
Finish: Powerful, with dense spices and chocolate coating the palate.
Comment: A great after-dinner dram, this is one to pair with a chocolate dessert or a strong coffee.
