For most people you don't think of Jose Cuervo as a producer of great tequila, but when I threw the dice and purchased this, omg what a great surprise! Not only was it a great Tequila, but also comes in an artists painted box. Living in Canada we don't have access to a great Tequila such as this. Used to go to Mexico for years and would bring a bottle home with me.
Perfect after dinner sip. First come the oak, rich and bold vanilla, wood, nutmeg then the so much expected spicy agave comes through. All is harmonious, each element coming after another slowly fade away but there is always a reminiscence or each expressing itself in a never ending finish. As mentioned previously, it is a serious alternative to Whisky.
My first tequila bottle ever. But not my last. Real smooth and a good competition to a whiskey after a hard days work
