Product Description

The first ongoing release from Isle of Raasay Distillery. This lightly-peated single malt was matured in a combination of first-fill rye whiskey barrels, fresh Chinkapin oak and first-fill Bordeaux red wine casks. Aromas of cherries, lemon cheesecake, mineral smoke and cinnamon arrive first, complemented by notes of toffee apples, salted butter, seeded brown bread and butterscotch.

    Gifted a bottle of this for my birthday, stunning! Have since gifted this to a friend in Brazil and opened at a churrasco (BBQ) at his house and the cork never went back in the bottle!

    We toured this distillery this spring and bought a bottle. I just opened it last night. I might be my new favorite. It’s a tiny bit more smoky than my usual Speyside scotches. But this is just delicious. Exceptionally delicious at this price point. I hope I can keep buying more in the USA.
