This limited-edition whisky combines hand-selected Highland and Speyside single malts, creating a blended malt greater than the sum of its parts. You can expect notes of baked orchard fruit, caramel and pastry – reminiscent of a tarte tatin – complemented by polished oak and gooseberries, with lashings of creamy toffee sauce. This is the perfect dram to share with your dad.

We’ve created Dad’s Dram as a whisky meant for sharing while reminiscing over life's stories. This blend contains rare old single malts we won’t have access to again, and is a whisky with depth and complexity that will appeal to all palates – you might even call it retro.     • Nose

      Baked apples, caramel sauce, spiced shortbread, poached pears, baking spice and hints of polished oak. Fresher notes of crunchy apple, gooseberry and redcurrants develop alongside soft ginger nut biscuit touches and a little bit of milk chocolate.

    • Palate

      Apples and pears to start: baked, poached and in a pie. The pastry is gently spiced, with cinnamon and nutmeg, dusted with brown sugar and served with a dollop of sharp apple sauce. Creamy toffee sauce notes build, along with hints of vanilla custard and raisins.

    • Finish

      Sweet apples and a touch of granny smith apples, with gooseberries, green leaves and a touch of wax-polished oak.

    • Comment

      A great all-round dram, balancing fruit, spice and sweetness. Perfect for celebrating, whether it’s father’s day or just the end of a great week.

When we decided to create a bottling for all the dads out there, we knew we had to come up with something special. Delving into our cask reserves, we combined single malts of different styles and origins to create a whisky that’s complex, yet approachable. Some of these are old and rare expressions that we will never see the like of again. That’s why we bottled Dad’s Dram without any added water, colouring or chill filtration, to better preserve the character of these old whiskies. It’s a great dram regardless, but it’s even better shared with the dad, or father figure, in your life.

    Wow, what a dram! Perfect for Father’s Day! Definitely needs water and resting. (At least 20 mins). I loved the warmth and sweetness. The lasting finish and mix of old and new! Great bargain dram at the price, with a novelty name for the father figure in your life. Happy sipping shoppers!
