This release marks the first in a new limited-edition collection from the iconic Kentucky distillery, which celebrates different wood finishes and the influence they impart on Maker's Mark's distinctively sweet and flavourful spirit.
The first release celebrates London – specifically, its reputation as a home of tastemakers – and luminaries from our capital including renowned bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana of Mr Lyan and chef Doug McMaster consulted on the specifics of the finish and brought knowledge of whisky's deep connection with the city. The result is a complex, bold and vibrant modern bourbon, abounding with spicy, fruity and creamy flavours, and bottled at a lively 55.4% ABV.
Makers Mark are really bringing innovation to an often traditional drink, and it's exciting to see Doug and Ryan, as two voices in the worlds of flavour and sustainability, collaborating on this release.
