A bottle of Buchanan's 8 year old blend. The brand was created by James Buchanan in 1884, five years after he arrived in London. The aim of the whisky was to create "a blend which had the perfect balance of body and flavour". We estimate this was bottled in the 1980s.

This is one of the finest smooth whiskies I have ever tasted. I first tried it around 1980 and have savoured it since. I have one bottle left in my collection and would love to add to that before opening my last bottle

Developed in the early 1980s to commemorate 100 years of James Buchanan. This whisky was made with the aim to taste as close as possible to the original whisky produced 100 years before. It is a beautifully mild whisky that is a dream to drink. While working at James Buchanan at Stepps near Glasgow I sampled a number of Whisky both blend and malt, and this was probably the best of the lot.
