Part of Dewar's The Last Great Malts range launched in 2014, this 12-year-old Aultmore is the first release from the distillery for a few years and is elegant, light and fruity.Tasting Notes (2)
Tasting Notes by the Whisky Exchange
Fresh and vibrant with crunchy apples and pears, floral notes and gentle creaminess.
Richer than the nose suggests, with fruit, sweet pastry, custard and more floral notes.
Medium length, with the fruit slowly fading to leave soft spice.
Tasting Notes by Stuart P
Very fresh and vibrant. Clean, refreshing notes of Cox's apple and pear, with a gentle creaminess and some aromatic floral notes, too.
A touch richer on the palate than expected, but still soft and fruity, with some sweet pastry/custard-tart notes. Florality lifts the palate.
Very clean and measured, with the soft fruits gently receding.

Give time to breath (both in bottle and glass), other wise it’s quite sharp in the beginning.. Nose : golden raisin, under ripe banana, spices, grapefruits citrusy freshness Palate : light fruits, vanilla, spices kick in strongly at the back Finish : soft lingering medium finish... Wonderful 12yo
Nice whisky, a bit strong at first, probably the 46% alcohol, but after that a very nice and enjoyable one.
Nose: sweet, honey like Palate: astonishingly dry taste, floral (I feel thyme there), no smoke, very light oak, smooth, medium finish Overall: very interesting whisky, delicate, not for everyone or every occasion but worth having in my collection
This was a Christmas gift from my son. The whisky is fantastic! One word of warning: don’t have too many that first night. I did make it up to bed but can’t remember it. 5 star plus
Bought a bottle as I was leaving Scotland. I have no experience with scotch except blended which I cannot stand. This 12yr old single malt has made a scotch drinker. Smoothest whiskey I have ever tasted.
