Soju

Soju

Soju is Korea’s national drink and the most popular spirit in the world, selling more than 500 million bottles per year. However, it’s almost unknown outside of Korea, as it is rarely exported, making it very difficult to find in other countries. Soju is made from rice, grains, sweet potatoes and other starchy materials, and varies from very light in flavour – like leading brand Jinro – to big and rich, with the latter becoming more popular more recently, especially as Soju begins to make its way around the world.
