Two points to temper this review: 1. Nose, Palate & Finish are all purely subjective. 2. I drink Bourbon neat or with just a small splash of distilled water. If you are looking for a smoooooth, almost but not quite sweet bourbon, look no further. This bourbon is just plain delicious! For me, the nose is of butterscotch with oak and butter. Finish, for me, is long and warm. Some feel it is pricey but be assured, this stuff is the real deal and worth every bit of the price. Getting a bit harder to find, but still fairly common. Give it a try. I would almost guarantee that you will not be disappointed at all. Cheers!

Spicy rich and a bit creamy great nose complex and slighly sweat - lovely stuff! Let it sit in the class and calm down a bit if you drink it neat as its a bit too expensive for coke, in coke its taste no different to evan williams extra aged which is a lot less. some compare it to Woodford reserve which is corn rich, sweat and mellow this is rye rich and spicy both great and should not be compared in my opinion

This is the best bourbon I've ever tasted. Far superior than Knob Creek, Woodford or Makers. Only Buffalo Trace comes close. Funny they are from the same family...

If you see this bottle in your local store, grab it. I don''t think there is another bourbon that can out do Blanton and also has an amazing kick to it once time proceeds. There may not be another bottle within this price range that can give you a "bang for your buck". Makes you glad you picked up the bottle.

This bourbon is stunning ! Up there with the big boys in terms of flavour and complexity - one to sit back and sip and enjoy. As long as it is sipped it shouldn't require any assistance (water) I've just ordered two of the gold series as the reviews have it pitched up there with the best !!!!! Anything that comes close to pappy 20 yr old will be a main stay in my collection !!!

Blantons single barrel Bourbon Special Reserve. Received this as a 70th. Birthday present I must say that this is the finest liquid that has ever passed my lips.I do not feel that I have to describe it. Wonderful Blantons

This is real artisan single barrel whiskey. Smooth as you'd expect from a bourbon but fantastically woody and flavoursome. Some bourbons can rightly be accused of being one dimensional but not this! The stuff whiskey legends are made of.

Wow.. amazing service (as ever!) and what an amazing drink! Having sampled many a Single malt, bourbon and all the regular brands on offer in mainstream UK stores - this just about knocks everything out of the field. The instant, simmering heat on your lips completely hides the subtle, yet full spread of flavours that will engulf your taste-buds immediately after... just.. wow!

This is a bourbon with plenty to offer. Woody scents on the noseIt has a slightly spiritous burn to it but is, nonetheless, very easy to drink, offering hints of vanilla, candied fruit and chocolate as well as a long, spiced finish. For my money, not quite as good as Woodford Reserve, but close.

Tried this upon recommendation and was stunned at how immensely flavor-packed this bourbon is. Slightly hotter than the 12-yeaar Van Winkle Special Reserve, but still dangerously smooth and equally delicious.
