In my opinion not quite as good as 2009, but this is nitpicking. This whisky is not for novice whisky drinkers! Massive punch with the alcohol flowing across the tongue, oil, salt and peat clearly evident with sharper follow through than 2009, stays for 10 minutes on the palate with different flavours appearing.

If you like peaty whisky, this is the one to buy... The flavours and finish is fantastic. Hurry up before it's out of stock!!

We bought a bottle at Ardbeg in 2010, just finished it tonight on our 26th anniversary. Price then was 85 pounds, as I recall. Glorious and wonderful Scotch, and, as advertised, the peat explodes on the tongue but delicately fades to a memorable finish. It was the finest scotch we tasted on our tour, and we had to have it. If you have the means, you won't regret this purchase.
