Ardbeg 1992 Reviews
Nose: Islay straight ahead! Seaweedy beaches + the Cal Mac Ferry engine room
Palate: Big with mouth puckering dried peat + burning incense, soot - ash & smoke.
Finish: Oily rage + charcoal, burnt logs + a wee bit caramelised sugar & spices.

Fabulous indie Ardbeg and one of the best Old Particular bottles I've tasted. Nursing this one for as long as possible (although it's really very tempting to polish it off in a sitting or two). The paleness here is deceptive. This is a subtle but complex spirit with a superb balance of smoke, sea and sherry-honey accents.
