Aged initially in bourbon casks, Spey Tenné is finished for six months in Tawny Port casks. With a minimum age of eight years, this is a sweet and fruity whisky.Tasting Notes (1)
Producer's Tasting Notes
The clean fresh fruit aroma of apples, pears and a trace of overripe bananas laced with milk chocolate and vanilla suggests a sweet taste and indeed this port wood finish from rich old tawny port wood casks does not disappoint.
An excellent choice as a pre-dinner aperitif it is very sweet to the taste and leads to a medium finish that does not overstay its welcome.

Very nice, well balanced dram. Most enjoyable, and a very good example that there is no direct correlation between the price and quality of a whisky.
Delicious – smooth and full of flavour.
Wonderful Scotch... and Scotch is about the only drink in my opinion.
A truly excellent dram for this price. The port cask aging softens the bite and lets the flavour linger. Slangevar!
Bottle delivered, opened and sampled. 2 more ordered (would have been more but wife's birthday looms). Reminiscent of the old Imperial port finish, which is high praise indeed. Beautiful nose and a finish that's just right for me.
