Product Description
A nuanced single malt whose sherry-derived characteristics beautifully complement the whisky's classic honey notes. Aromas of caramel, raisins, stewed fruits and barbecue sauce are followed by flavours of cocoa, liquorice and sweet spice, melded together by rich sugar. A superb sherry-aged dram that will delight fans of 'Scotland's little gem'.

Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Tasting notes by Billy Abbott (The Whisky Exchange)
Nose
Thick caramel and raisin jam to start, poured over liquefied Crunchie bars. Gentle hints of charred apple, drizzled with custard, sneak in around the edges. Sweet barbecue sauce notes develop in the glass, along with red berries and sweet pastry.
Palate
Rich molasses and Demerara syrup lead through a pool of cocoa to aniseed balls, liquorice and blackcurrant sweets, and a pile of cinnamon rolls. More black liquorice rises from the cocoa depths, followed by barrel char, Cola Cubes and red liquorice. Touches of spicy root beer appear after a while.
Finish
Liquorice and cinnamon buns, stewed berries, winter-fruit pudding and then more liquorice. Minty hints linger.
Comment
A nuanced sherry monster, balancing spice against fruit and sweetness against char.

Best nose on a whisky this year. Absolutely overflowing with nuts, from hazelnuts to walnuts to peanuts culminating in the usual sweet almonds that is the signature of this marvellous, tiny distillery. Raisins, chocolates and all things Christmas on the palate. Good without water but a few drops opens it up nicely. Beautiful antidote to the cold autumnal evenings.
Yeah this is pretty fantastic. Absolute text book sherry bomb, unbelievable its still in stock. There is no Soap in the taste, people are obsessed with the 70s Edradour distillate and this conclusion.
Very nice Edradour as described by Billy. However I do get a slight soapy taste. Minor but it’s there. Still a lovely dram.
Unforgettable one in my life!
What a sherry monster! Huge notes of proper Oloroso sherry, with a sweetish (typical Edradour) edge. Absolute delight to drink, even at a little over 10 years old. Fantastic buy.
