I found that it didn't taste much like anything. It straddled some middle ground between cheap mass produced cacha?a and a cheap vodka. It would appear that brand popularity didn't amount to much...

I would drink bacardi all day, every day. It is best drunk with coke (diet), ice and a big chunk of lime. Excellent!! I know not everyone likes it, but I do, and would recommend it to anyone to try.

Agree with the last poster. I actually find Bacardi better than Havana Club, which is seriously overrated and has almost no taste (strange) at all.

I don`t agree with cubitus. In my opinion the best light rum in the world. Much better than cuban rum which is too light and doesn`t taste so distinctly like Bacardi. Cachaca is a harsh spirit but I think you didn`t taste and don`t konw what "harsh" word mean.

Best-selling doesn't mean it's good... For a cuban (or light) rum, it's way too harsh. Havana Club is miles away from this. Even if the Diffords Guide recommends it, I wouldn't. It's as harsh as heavy rums but without the sugar cane taste... Avoid this.
