This blend was made in 1965 by Chivas Brothers’ Master Blender Alan Bailie. It is named after the Scottish tradition of bagpipers leading soldiers into battle from ‘The ballad of the Hundred Piers’ which tells the story of Bonny Prince Charlie leading 100 pipers in the 1745 uprising.
