Bonal make their Quina liqueur in St. Laurent du Pont, near the French Alps. Made to an original recipe from 1865, this aperitif comprises Mistelle fortified wine infused with gentian, cinchona and other herbs; an evolution from quinine bark infusions originally used to prevent malaria.
