Mandarine Napoleon
Liqueurs
A recipe of Cognac, mandarin, herbs and spices, Mandarine Napoleon was originally made in the early 1800s by chemist Antoine-Francois de Fourcroy for its namesake, Napoleon Bonaparte. It was rediscovered in the 19th century by another chemist, Louis Schmidt in Fourcroy’s diary and shortly after produced it in Brussels for public consumption in 1892.
