Nikka Miyagikyo
Japanese Whisky
Miyagikyo distillery was founded in 1969 by the godfather of Japanese whisky Masataka Taketsuru. He chose the site at the confluence of two rivers for its cool, humid microclimate – conditions that would prove vital to developing the elegant Miyagikyo single malt. In 1999 the site became home to a grain plant which today is used for the Nikka Coffey Grain and Coffey Malt whiskies.
