Espolòn Tequila was founded in 1998 by veteran distiller Cirilo Oropeza, who distilled spirits across Mexico from 1965 until he passed away in 2020. The mantle has now been taken up by Jesús Susunaga, who is using his two decades of distilling experience to continue Oropeza’s legacy. Known for its top-notch blanco and experimental aged tequilas, Espolòn is worth a spot in any drinks cabinet.
