Founded in 2016 by five NBA basketball team owners, Cincoro Tequila brings together agave from the Highlands and Lowlands of Jalisco to create a range of well-rounded and easy drinking tequilas.

Leading the Cincoro range is the blanco tequila, made from a blend of spirits distilled from both highland and lowland agave. Distilled and bottled with no wood maturation, the blanco gives you the full taste of the blue weber agaves used to make it.

Cincoro Reposado Tequila

70cl / 40%

£104

(£148.57 per litre)

You must be aged 18 or above to buy alcohol in the UK

Mexico’s favourite style, Cincoro’s reposado is rested in ex-Tennessee whiskey barrels for between eight and ten months, adding in layers of oaky spice while softening the fruity and peppery agave. The result is rich and honeyed tequila with notes of vanilla, caramel and white chocolate.

Cincoro Añejo Tequila

70cl / 40%

£138

(£197.14 per litre)

You must be aged 18 or above to buy alcohol in the UK

Cincoro Añejo is a big step up from the reposado, moving to full maturation of more than 20 months in ex-Tennessee whiskey barrels, more than double the time of its stablemate. The agave notes have become rich, cooked and sticky, with layers of orange peel, butterscotch, dark chocolate and maple syrup.

Cincoro Tequila

Cincoro Tequila grew from the rivalry of five basketball team owners: Emilia Fazzalari and Wyc Grousbeck formerly of the Boston Celtics, Jeanie Buss of the Los Angeles Lakers, Wes Edens of the Milwaukee Bucks, and Michael Jordan formerly of the Charlotte Hornets (and all-round basketball legend). They created Cincoro – cinco meaning five and oro meaning gold – to share their love of tequila with the world.
