The value is outstanding. This is a Scotch with character that far exceeds the price.

This is terrible single malt. Anybody who says it is smooth is not a scotch drinker.

First scotch Ive bought on my own. Seems great to me. I can notice the different tastes and aromas described and the entire experience seemed quite complex.

Received this as a gift purchased from the duty free in Canada. It is quite delicious and is easily an everyday dram. I was surprised how smooth and tasty this scotch is. I would love to get another bottle in my collection. Don't pass this one up.

I have had 2 bottles of this. The first I bought myself, and I was very disappointed; thin and bland. About a year later, my wife went on holiday and bought me bottle, not realising I had had it before but knowing I like Glenlivet products. The second bottle was a totally different experience! Very nice indeed; honey, a hint of ginger and malty notes. Can only assume that my first bottle was a duff - which explains the varying reviews here. I would buy a bottle again, but only if I could taste it first.

The best of Glenlivet. Smooth with a touch of honey in the taste.

Maybe I expected too much from this offering, as I generally gravitate towards Glenlivet products. I can't really complain for the price, but this is not a bottle that I get excited about when I am choosing my nightly drink. I have the Nadurra Oloroso and the 15, and both are well above this offering, although the price is not really commensurate.

Not for me...tried three times to understand why the distiller put this bottle on the market but I will pass the residue of this bottle on to my Brother who is a Grouse man so I am sure he will love it.

Glenlivet 15 YO is my favourite. I would not buy Master Destillers Reserve again, too young whisky for me

I sat around sipping the reserve and loving it, even more so than the 15yr or the Nadurra.

As George said ..... Agee the 12 year oldis far better I feel this is one that is to soon for drinking

  • Anonymous 31 January 2014

Smooth ,Honey sweetness,Fresh Slightly harsh afterburn on the throat,Sure the 15 or 17 will be even better

  • Anonymous 30 June 2013

This is very flavorful and very smooth. The only disappointment is that it is only 40%, I can only imagine how great this would be at cask strength.

  • George 24 February 2013

The classic 12 years old is much better
