Product Description
A bold Cognac from Martell with an eye-catching bottle, balancing the power and intensity of Grande Champagne with the classic elegance of the Borderies Cru. Aromas of pink and black peppercorns, figs, walnuts, sandalwood and hints of coriander fill the nose, complemented by notes of blackcurrant, fig, plums, vanilla, oak spice, cinnamon, dates and cracked black pepper throughout the palate.

This cognac, served in a elegant decanter, is a gorgeous mahogany, coppery colour and looks fantastic on any bar or drinks cabinet and will most certainly draw looks when you start serving drinks out. The taste is as good as it looks, even a beginner or novice cognac drinker can detect the hints of dried fruits, cinnamon and brioche. If that doesn't sound delicious then you're odd. A more experienced cognac drinker may be able to taste the flavours in a deeper experience. The aroma is gorgeous. You can smell the flavours. No more information needed. This is an expensive-ish cognac, obviously the £6,500 Remy Martin will taste better, that's a given. However, this is a brilliant drink for people who don't earn 6 figure salaries and a definite winter and Christmas drink due to the flavours of it and the lingering warmth. Martell and Martin are the best brandy houses, in my opinion.
Phenomenal, elegant, extraordinary. It's so complex and smooth. Very long layered finish, one of these drinks that celebrates the life

This, and Kelt's Tour Du Monde XO, are my favorite mass-marketed XO Cognacs. Interestingly, Martell XO tastes more like Hennessy Paradis than Hennessy XO does.
