Redbreast 21 Year Old Reviews
Tasting Notes by Stuart P
Nose: Rather closed and restrained; takes time to unravel. Tightly knit malt, lots of spiciness lurking underneath.
Palate: Mint and menthol appear from nowhere, along with a big, rich spiciness, and suddenly you realise the complexity you’re dealing with: cinnamon and clove, apple, mango, biscuit, oats, white pepper, but all well defined and distinct.
Finish: Very long lasting, with the spices and fruit all lingering. This needs time to contemplate.
Nose: Remarkable aroma spanning fresh tropical fruits, nuts and rich dried fruit.
Taste: Soft vanilla, toasted oak, sherry nuttiness with a dusting of pot still spices. Luscious fleshy fruit notes complete the creamy mouth feel.
Finish: Lingers, seemingly forever, to oak and pot still spices and then the final bow from the barley – where it all began.

Best whiskey I have ever tasted. Absolutely beautiful taste and smell.
I hate to do this, because it the price is exorbitant, but this is the best Irish whiskey I have had. There are cheaper alternatives that come close but the complexity in this is something else.
Smooth and complex – a real treat. Definitely worth the money.
Started with the 12 then 15 now onto the 21, all top class but this 21 is definitely a bit special. Best whiskey on the market. Doesn't get any smoother.
My first sip of Red Breast 21 was delicious to every single tastebud. I actually enjoy whiskeys and I'm not one to get caught in the "hype" of name or price point. The notes have been described by others but its really a personal palate experience. Sip by sip, I savored every drop and picked up a bottle at The Loop on the way home.
Redbreast 21 – best whiskey. Nothing compares, it is quite an unforgettable experience. I brought one bottle from Ireland last year and shared with special friends. Everyone shared the same opinion about one of the best ever tasted.
I don't normally spend this kind of money on spirits. I was treated this one at a fancy local restaurant. Frankly I've never tasted anything like this. The complexity was amazing. The aroma was very refined like a classy cologne. Each sip produced a remarkable ensemble of flavors that slowly developed in my mouth, even the aftertaste continued to develop. I understand that this whiskey is in short supply so I bought a bottle but due to the price I'm saving it for very special occasions.
A lovely sip. Purchased as a gift to myself after a rather arduous school year, and worth every cent. Aromatic. Creamy. Rich, warm, spicy finish. I believe I need just a bit more, please.
Bought a bottle of 21 and found myself appreciating fine Irish whisky. Other than living in Ireland, this is the closest to the green ire.
I have tried this now twice along with the 12 year old at the same tasting. My friends and I all greatly prefer the 12. Perhaps we got a bad bottle of 21, but it was not very good.
I have to admit I didn''t think they could get better than the old 15 year old and expected the extra age would damage this but it''s so well balanced. This is truly amazing. I live for such whiskeys.
Took Peters advice and bought it for myself as a birthday gift. This is a very good whisky for this price area. Highly recommended!
Nose: It's a lot less 'harsh' than I would have expected. There's hints of nuts and fruit. Palate: It's oak, sherry, maybe some vanilla, AND OMG IT'S CREAMY. Finish: Lasts pretty long, definitely longer than the 12 and 15 but it lasts long in a good way. Comment: Amazing whiskey for the price. Well worth it. This would make a fine birthday / christmas gift for yourself.
