Product Description
A fruity and spicy release from Aberlour, this 16 year old has been matured in a combination of sherry butts and first-fill bourbon casks. Jim Murray scored it 94.5/100 in his 2015 Whisky Bible, describing it as 'a malt of unbridled magnificence'.

Aberlour 16 Year Old
Long-aged and complex, Aberlour 16 Year Old is an exquisite dram that embodies what draws whisky lovers to this Speyside distillery’s single malts. A combined maturation in both ex-bourbon and former sherry casks brings balance, along with its rich sherried character, while its 16 years of ageing provide elegance and layers of flavour.
Aberlour has made malt whisky on the banks of the River Spey for almost 200 years. Though the passing decades have brought many changes to this old distillery, one thing has remained constant: its silky, fruity spirit that shows a particular affinity for sherry casks. This is evident in single malts across its collection, from the classic 12 Year Old to the celebrated batch strength A’Bunadh, the exquisite 16 Year Old and more.

Yes I was given a bottle of the 14 year old for my 80th birthday. From the very first sip I felt I was in Heaven.
A gem of a single malt. Rich and smooth with a strong tang of toffee. A bit more expensive than the standard 12 year old, but worth it for the increase in quality.
Absolutely love this whisky and it has been my staple drink for a while now. Nothing more enjoyable than sitting back and relaxing with this intoxicating dram.
Everyone has different tastes, but for me this is one of the best whiskies I've ever had, bought for me as Christmas present by a legend. Smooth as silk, wonderful mid and after taste, burn on the way down is warm and not offensive. This is a wonderful wee dram – highly recommend.
A very interesting 16 year old whisky.. Very warm and creamy. Nice and satisfying finish
