Tasting Notes

  • Producer's Tasting Notes

Nose: Slight but undoubtedly rich with dark fruit; cherry, raisin, fig (with Christmas pudding notes on the nose for those lucky enough to know what that is) along with floral lemongrass and a touch of nutmeg.

Palate: Sweet and creamy on the palate, with butterscotch, honey and peppercorn bringing along sweet Bourbon Cask notes with dried fruit returning through notes of maraschino cherries and a pinch of brown sugar.

Finish: Lingering notes of ginger spices with a faint glimmer of almond to end a complex Irish Whiskey from start to finish.

A nice Irish grain whiskey. Smooth on the palate and an interesting finish. Sweet and creamy with honey and spice. Well worth the money and a grain whiskey worth keeping in your whiskey library.

I love the finish of this drink. I've been an Irish Whiskey drinker, but the spanish sherry casks give it an excellent taste but not enough to really mess it up. Perfect blend.

Fantastic Irish whiskey with smooth mouthfeel and a quite pleasant finish. It is smoother than many of the others I’ve tried and I highly recommend it for amateurs and pros alike.

Quite sweet. No harsh after taste... Even the Mrs did mind it. It's no scotch but a nice one to own!

Christmas pudding and spice on the nose. Palate was harsh and flavour masked by the fiery hit at the back of the throat. Went down like cough medicine in my opinion. I didn't enjoy this at all and won't be tasting again.
