A litre bottle of Loch Dhu, meaning 'Black Lake' in Gaelic, the famous 'Black Whisky' made at Mannochmore distillery in 1996 and 1997. Having gained popularity due to its unusual appearance, it has become a very collectible but hard-to-find whisky.

    As a wise reviewer once said. “ This is a cult whisky for all the wrong reasons” “It’s nose reminds me just like the palette of a car wreck we can’t help to stop for next to a tire fire.” That said it’s a thing. A curiosity, I’m buying up as much as I can because of that curiosity factor and the fact that we can prevent people from drinking Jagermeister with a shot of this.

    Smooth like water. Very rich and full-bodied. Can taste the wood from the casks. I miss it. If I won lottery in USA I would buy the rights to the name – in 1990s it was around $30 for 1 liter bottle

    Yes, and i fell in love with this whisky from the first drop. Foun it first time at Schipool Airport, an bought my last bottles in Aberdeen. I have only one bottle left (only 0,7 ltr.), which I planned to serve on my 60th birthday, later on my 65th, 70th and 75th birthday this year. But it's still here waiting for the right occacion
