Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes by Stuart P
Nose
Rich and polished, with chamois leather, honey-coated fruit, marzipan and roasted nuts. Savouriness arrives in the form of sandalwood and cigar box. A hint of brioche, too.
Palate
Rich spices on the palate – cinnamon, nutmeg and clove – along with apples and pears cooked in sugar syrup, black pepper and a sweet floral note. Soft, silky mouthfeel.
Finish
The fruit and spice combine deliciously and effortlessly to a dry, pleasing finish.
Comment
This is classy stuff, with the elegance of the fruit and the cask allowed to shine through.
