Based on traditional Swiss absinthe, Murmichan uses natural botanicals for both flavouring and colouring the spirit. Named in honour of a wicked Scots fairy, Murmichan is made with traditional and Scottish botanicals, such as grande wormwood, green aniseed, fennel seed, star anise, bramble leaves and heather flower, all contributing to Murmichan’s ‘unique’ flavour.

This is an excellent absinthe following a traditional recipe with an added Scottish twist. It is well made and the quality shows as it doesn't have an overpowering black liquorice flavour and instead you get the wormwood menthol coming through before a hint of sweet heather hits in the finish. Mixed with water it has an excellent louche. This is a very reasonably priced absinthe that puts more expensive ones to shame.
