Product Description
Bottled to celebrate the 12th anniversary of Arran's Distillery Manager James MacTaggart, The Man With The Golden Glass is a 12-year-old single malt, finished in Palo Cortado sherry casks. A fruity, spicy whisky, it has aromas of ripe peaches, sweet marmalade and spicy ginger. The palate offers notes of zesty citrus, dark chocolate, buttered toast and a hint of salt, before a long finish with notes of cider apple and fresh ginger.

Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes From The Producer
Nose
Bright and mouth-watering; Seville orange marmalade, peaches and mango freshness are followed by the warmth of root gingers and a waft of drying grass and gorse bushes.
Palate
Rich in chocolate orange, quince jelly and the zest of citrus fruits. The subtle tang of yeast, buttered sourdough and a kick of rock salt come through as the Palo Cortado cask displays its influence.
Finish
Cider apples accentuate Arran's house style before the warmth of ginger returns alongside a rich impression of these exceptional sherry casks.

Fantastic and a very different kind of Malt. The sharpness is mouthwatering but don't expect the usual sherry finish from this. It's a dry, savoury, dusty sherry finish that lingers for ages.
I was very disappointed with the 12 yr ‘man with the golden glass’ anniversary bottle. It left, for me, an overwhelming taste of damp grass. This is the first Arran bottle I have not enjoyed. I have put the rest of the bottle aside and hope for a miracle.
Easily the best Arran I have tasted and I have tried most of them ,easy on the nose, wonderful taste a good mix of bitter and sweet and a nice long warming aftertaste. This is the best dram I have tasted .Simply beautiful.
