Smoky and strong aroma, sweet barrel incense reminiscent of vanilla . A complex finish lasts until the end.
It had perfect punchy peat that complimented the classic CCB profile. Definitely one of the best peated Chichibu ever.
Chichibu was lucky enough to get my hands on a bottle wow another great whisky from japan, Taste was smokey with a little berry and pepper, Smokey zingy finish. Great stuff.
Lovely taste
In a blindtasting this would keep me guessing forever which Islay distillery it actually is... It has parts of several and I would stay south coast. Tar, seawater, brine, smoke all there and the familiar Barbour jacket. The refill cask I especially treasure as it completly supports the character of the spirit. A very good case not to go for funny beer or wine finishes.
