One of my favorite Rye whiskys.
Wow, Wow, Wow. Brilliant. smoked almond and sweet flavor bombs on the nose and on the palate is flavor train of spice, vanilla, toated marshmellow and all around greatness. You wont regret this toasted rye barrel finish
This is the first time having Sagamore's Double Oak Rye. I've had their Cask Strength and was impressed, but this is absolutely stunning. Brown sugar sweetness, toasted, oaky vanilla wafer, covered in baking spice finishing with a nice rounded flavor
I really like this whisky. I prefer it over other double oaked bourbons, like Woodford. Notes of caramel and oak really come out in this whiskey. Incredibly smooth and soft on the palate, yet big flavors.
You don't see many double oak rye whiskys and then throw in the fact the second barrel is toasted and you get a really nice complex rye. Abundant baking spice with a nice balance of dark honey, and vanilla. really like the finish on this one.
