Yep, I was introduced to this lovely whisky in Gibraltar this week and I have come home with 2 bottles ! I said , when I tried it with 6 drops of mineral water that it was like silk on the palate and fruity too.
A good whisky. I found it has a spicy and warming profile - with a bit of heat, and makes an ideal winter drink. For summer I tried adding some sparkling water (or soda water, but not tonic water which would clash with the flavours) and it brought out apricot and apple notes, and removed the heat. This would therefore also make a great summer drink if you are comfortable mixing in some sparkling water and ice. Overall a good drink for any season!

Loved it! I belong to a small residential men's Scotch club that has 2 gentlemen actually from Scotland. We call ourselves the SMS 8 Scotch Club. SMS meaning "Single Malt Scotch, and 8 meaning 8 members only. When I brought my bottle of Blackstrap that I purchased while visiting Gibraltar, they all raved about it. Now that you are able to bring it to the US (was told there at the time, Sep 2022 that it was not being exported)_I am thrilled and will be a loyal customer forever. Thank you!
