Product Description
Bunnahabhain Aonadh 10 Year Old has been matured in a combination of sherry and port casks, creating a fruity, spicy dram. Aromas of vanilla, brandy butter, caramel, dark berries and oak spice fill the nose, complemented by notes of cinnamon, plums, blackberries, roasted walnuts, dark chocolate and a salty tang throughout the palate.

Customer Reviews

Bunnahabhain makes wonderful whisky and many are quite affordable. The 12 year cask strength is exceptional as was the manzanilla cask finish. This offering however, to me had a strong taste of sulfur that made it less enjoyable. Nonetheless, I finished the two bottles I owned as it is still a nice whisky.
Nose Cognac, cherry liqueur, plum, fig Palate Brandy, astringent, spicy, going from sweet to bitter and maintaining the spiciness. Strong influence of wood and port and sherry wine. Nutmeg, burnt sugar, lightly salted. Raisins. Finish Its finish starts going from sweet to bitter, in an interesting and pleasant mixture. After two minutes it loses a little of its intensity but a flavor of ripe iron with a little salt remains. After the 5 minutes there was an aftertaste that I ate black raisins lasting for more than 7 minutes.
I’m no expert but I get huge waves of Christmas cake and sea spray on the nose. A fabulous unmistakably Bunnahabhain flavour I can’t quite put my finger on. Both fruity and sea salt and a little pepper and spice. Definitely get a chocolate finish as the Master of Malts suggested. Overall a deep complex and wonderful whisky which I will enjoy thoroughly over the Christmas period.
