Product Description

With its distillation pre-dating the Second World War, this Cognac — made in 1938 — from Vallein Tercinier is the definition of bottled history. Drawn from a single cask from the heart of Saintonge, Lot 38 was aged for 60 years in Limousin oak and rested in glass demijohns for an extra 20 years before being bottled at natural cask strength in 2022. The result is a Cognac displaying great maturity and softness with fruity notes of orange, apricot and peach — balanced with an earthy, mineral and waxy character that reflects the clay limestone-rich soil of Petit Champagne.
