Product Description
This 2023 limited-edition English single malt whisky from White Peak distillery was finished in ex-stout casks that were originally used to mature Pedro Ximenez sherry. The stout was produced by Thornbridge brewery and imparts layers of dark fruit to the whisky. There are aromas of hazelnuts, filter coffee and roasted malt on the nose, complemented by cocoa nibs, prune and raisin on the palate.
This local collaboration brings my love of stout and whisky together, full of fruit and nut and with hints of coffee and cocoa. It’s also a brilliant introduction into the exciting world of new English distilleries for those who enjoy a whisky with plenty of body and character. Hannah Boyle, The Whisky Exchange

I’m lucky enough to live about two miles up the road from the White Peak distillery and like to pop in from time to time. All of the whiskies of theirs that I’ve sampled have been excellent, but this one is my favourite. There’s definitely flavours of coffee and chocolate in there. I have to disagree with the suggestion that there’s no smoke in it- there is, but it’s very subtle (in no way is it a peat monster). A very finely balanced whiskey. It isn’t always available so grab a bottle when you get the chance.
