    After running across this at this year's The Rum Show, I had to pick up a bottle. I'm told it's 1.5 years aged but tastes like more. Somewhat like a baba au rhum on the nose - sweetened cream, caramel, sponge cake, blossom honey, hints of old sugar cane. Distinctly earthy on the palate, like the red Australian desert, with soft winter spices over sun-baked clay, rounded out with golden pear and apricot. As a sugar cane liker, half the point for me with cane juice spirits is the vegetal notes in the finish, and here you can just pick those out in the midst of soft vanilla, emerging from the earth like seedlings after rain. Comfy.
