Aberlour 16 Year Old Double Cask (43%)
Product Description

A recent release from long-time TWE favourite Aberlour, this 16 year-old has been double-matured in traditional oak and sherry casks. Deep and complex, with lip-smacking spices - not as sherry-sweet as the 18yo.

Bought this whiskey after some research and it was sale at my local store. I love how smooth it is and I really enjoy the flavors. This is my first of it, I generally drink McCallan 12 yrs which isn't smooth this one.

One of my favourites. Not a huge difference from the 12 but just that little bit smoother and rounder. I like most of the Aberlours as they do not kick back but leave a warm and soft honeyed after taste.

Still available nowadays in France, I'd bought 2 bottles of this 43% version (bottling date : June 11, 2018). It's a real bargain. It's not that complex but with a drop or two of Vittel the aromas emphasise.
